I get a sense of joy from serving and helping others. GHC gives me the opportunity to be part of vibrant movement of young leaders who will address issues of global health inequities and lead implementation of solutions.

Bevis Phiri hails from Lusaka, Zambia. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Zambia (UNZA) where he majored in development studies and minored in economics. While at UNZA, he served as a research supervisor for an International Labour Organization project with Equilibria Consulting Ltd. After graduating, Bevis worked as a research assistant on a quality of care on maternal and child health project with the Zambia Institute for Policy Analysis and Research, as a geographic information systems (GIS) enumerator on a malaria indoor residual spraying project with Akros Global Health, and later as an intern and program officer for the Zambian Institute for Sustainable Development. Prior to becoming a GHC fellow, Bevis worked with Innovations for Poverty Action as a stakeholder data management intern. Bevis enjoys working out, swimming and visiting new places.
