Henna Sharif is from Washington, DC. Most recently, she worked with University Research Co., LLC providing administrative and programmatic support for various USAID projects including the Applying Science to Strengthen and Improve Systems (ASSIST) and the Preventing Transmission of HIV/AIDS project. In this role, Henna supported field teams in Latin America and Asia, ensuring operations were compliant with donor rules and regulations and liaising between the field and operational divisions at the headquarters office. Prior to moving to Washington, DC, Henna studied international business at the University of Texas at Austin and worked in local politics. After rediscovering her passion for international affairs, Henna attended the American University for her master’s degree in international economics.
