I am a GHC fellow in order to learn, apply, and impact global change.

Maggie Phiri currently lives in Malawi. She is an African Women in Agriculture Research and Development (AWARD) Fellow and was named one of the Top 25 young African women leaders with potential and determination to lead change by MILEAD. Maggie has interned with United Nations Women on a gender and agricultural project. She has also served as a Gender and Climate Change Intern at GOAL Malawi, where she led the Neno district research team on a USAID-funded gender and climate change research project. Maggie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture genetics and biotechnology from Alexandria University in Egypt. Prior to joining GHC, she completed her master’s degree in rural development and natural resources management at the Swedish University of Agricultural Science in Sweden.
