The panel examined the role of social innovation in civic life, and the importance of expanding innovation throughout all sectors of society. The July 19-31 Orientation and Training Program for the inaugural class of GHC fellows was hosted by Stanford Health Policy. Professors affiliated with Stanford Health Policy worked with the GHC team to develop the Program, and bring in leading professors and practitioners to work with the fellows.
From July 19-31, the inaugural class of 22 Global Health Corps fellows came together at Stanford University for two weeks of education and reflection. The Corps worked with leading professors from the Stanford Business School and Medical School, and from a variety of departments including Health Policy, Political Science, Philosophy, and Human Biology to explore issues in global health and prepare for their fellowships.
