Adanna obtained her medical degree from the University of Nigeria in 2009, graduating with multiple distinctions. She joined the National Youth Service Corps, where as a development knowledge facilitator with Millennium Development Goals Advocacy Project, she led several community- and state-wide projects aimed at combating malaria and helminthiasis. For her efforts, she received an outstanding community service award from the state governor and the Nigerian president. Adanna's main interest is health systems innovation in developing countries. She is currently completing a Master's in Global Health Science as an Exxon Mobil Scholar at the University of Oxford. She writes for the public health unit of Consultancy Africa Intelligence on important issues in health policy and public health within Africa. Adanna also recently spent two months in Uganda as a research assistant with the USAID health care improvement project. She loves to sing in choirs, play ping-pong, surf the internet, and make new friends.
