Community is important because connectedness through relationships to others gives strength, support, joy and overall meaning to life.

Christina grew up in Berkley, Massachusetts, and has lived in Boston for the last 10 years. Christina completed a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in French from Boston University followed by an MPH in International Health from their school of Public Health. While pursuing her MPH part-time, Christina also worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a clinical researcher, first at Novartis for cardiovascular and metabolism indications and then at Epizyme for genetically-defined cancers. In addition to her public health coursework, Christina volunteered as an English teacher in Ayutthaya, Thailand, as a 50 States Access and Opportunity Project intern at the Abortion Access Project in Cambridge, and as a community volunteer supporting clients with health and welfare needs at the Codman Square Community Health Center in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. Christina loves competitive ultimate Frisbee, reading, digital photography, and outdoor activities like mountain climbing and cycling.
