Hajrah Hussain is a Jersey City, New Jersey native. She graduated from Princeton University majoring in English and minoring in global health and health policy and linguistics. The summer before her senior year, Hajrah interned at Rabin Martin, a global health strategy company, where she was exposed to a variety of global and domestic health programs. During her time at Princeton, she contributed to the campus wellness initiative, UMatter, by creating public health messaging related to mental health. Hajrah also served as a peer health adviser for three of her undergraduate years and served as a member of Tropical Clinics for Rural Health. In addition to being a GHC fellow, Hajrah is an AmeriCorps VISTA member.
