Claude is from Nyagatare district in Rwanda. He received his undergraduate degree in Fundamental and Computational Physics from the National University of Rwanda (NUR). While at university, Claude served as the Faculty Representative for the Faculty of Science and he represented his faculty in the NUR academic senate. He also took on a leadership role in the expansion of the NUR Unity and Reconciliation Club at Rwandan high schools. Claude has volunteered in several public campaigns, including campaigns relating to family planning and anti-corruption. Upon graduating, Claude worked as Facilitator Corps Manager in charge of designing, implementing, and managing social impact projects with Spark Microgrants, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting poor rural communities in Rwanda and Uganda.
