Laura is originally from Depew, NY. She graduated from Northeastern University with a Doctor of Pharmacy. While at Northeastern, she co-captained the university's women's ultimate Frisbee team, competing in two National Championships with the team. Off the field, she and her teammates worked with youth in the Boston Public School system to teach teamwork and sportsmanship skills and empower girls through sport. Following her degree, Laura worked at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center as an oncology research pharmacist where she developed process improvement tools to increase patient safety. Laura completed her Master’s of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health, concentrating in Health and Social Behavior and focusing much of her work on addressing health care access issues for under-served populations in Boston. Laura additionally has an extensive karaoke repertoire, and is a champion of innovation on the dance floor.
