Title: Program Manager: Capacity Building Initiatives and New Programs
Community is important to me because it is the most direct way to transmit civic duties and pride in society. A community which takes pride in itself can lead to motivated and dedicated citizens.

Rodrigo is a native of Guatemala and has lived in nine countries. He worked with Manchester United Soccer Schools where he helped develop the first integrated Corporate Social Responsibility initiative within the industry by creating a girls' empowerment program in Mumbai, India. Rodrigo also worked with the Manchester United Foundation as a Head Coach helping deliver a youth employability program in one of Manchester’s most deprived neighborhoods. He pursued his undergraduate studies at Concordia University in Montreal, majoring in history and political science. While at Concordia, he played on the men’s varsity soccer team and was involved in creating FC Galeano, a soccer team that aimed to integrate Latino migrants in Canada. Rodrigo received his master’s degree in sociology of sport from Loughborough University in the United Kingdom. He is always up for a game of soccer and enjoys cycling and hiking.
