Taylor Hendricks grew up in the small town of Lambertville, New Jersey. She completed her undergraduate degree in international studies and sociology at Ramapo College of New Jersey. During her sophomore year, Taylor spent a semester studying social issues and development in southern India, which inspired her to continue pursuing opportunities to work and serve in under-resourced communities in the U.S. and abroad. She has since volunteered in Ghana, Nicaragua and Haiti, worked with West African immigrants in Harlem and interned at Doctors without Borders. Before completing her graduate studies in social policy at the University of Pennsylvania, Taylor served in Americorps’ Philadelphia Health Corps program for a year as a maternal and child health advocate. For the past three years, she has worked at a national nonprofit health policy resource center dedicated to improving health care for low-income Americans. Taylor is a certified yoga teacher, extreme Bollywood fan and lover of cooking, music, dancing and travel.
