FHT has also inculcated the reading culture in schools through text books distribution throughout the country, supported orphans and vulnerable children with educational materials, and empowered orphans and vulnerable children and widows in life skills and income generation activities. FHT contributed significantly to the establishment of the National AIDS Council and to the formulation of national guidelines and other AIDS Service Organisations in Zambia.
