Gwen Hopkins, Admissions and Operations Senior Manager

To realize the right to health, we need strong individuals, organizations, and collaboration across the sector. By empowering staff and fellows, building supportive systems, and aligning impactful partnerships, GHC is mobilizing a global movement for lasting change.

Gwen manages the admissions process for the Global Health Corps fellowship, working with GHC staff, current and past fellows, and partner organizations. Gwen’s previous experience in public health spans from policy advocacy to service delivery. Most recently, she worked at the fiscal sponsor Community Partners in Los Angeles, where she supported quality improvement projects across public hospitals and community clinics. Previously, at the Aspen Institute’s Global Health and Development program, she led a USAID-funded initiative building awareness and partnerships for reproductive health. Gwen is passionate about empowering future social sector leaders; past work in this area includes launching the Aspen Institute’s professional development program, recruiting for Teach for America, and presenting at conferences and universities on building a satisfying and effective social impact career. Gwen has a B.A. in English Literature from Trinity College, with minors in French and Women, Gender, & Sexuality.
