Livia Foo, Vice President of People and Operations
Health and advancing health equity has never felt more important than during a pandemic. Nelson Mandela said “Health cannot be a question of income; it is a fundamental human right.” To strive towards health as a fundamental human right and towards a healthy, dignified life for all, I am honored and grateful to be part of the GHC team to support the leadership development of future and current leaders in health.
Prior to GHC, Livia was Director, Business Operations at the Washington Trails Association (WTA) leading Human Resources, Finance, Technology and Administration with a focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion as it relates to the employee lifecycle. Prior to WTA, Livia was Senior Director, Strategic Operations at the International Rescue Committee supporting Philanthropy (Development) and Ethics & Compliance. She previously worked for American Express in various roles in Corporate Development, Interactive, and Finance.
Livia holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Rochester and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan. In pre-COVID times, she was an avid traveler seeking less traveled destinations, including mountains for hiking and oceans for scuba diving. Currently, outside of work Livia can be found on walks, cooking, grabbing take-out to try new restaurants, or on her yoga mat. She lives in NYC.
