Russatta Buford, Senior Vice President of Operations

Russatta Buford is the Senior Vice President of Operations at Global Health Corps.  Prior to joining GHC, Russatta served as the Director of Strategy & Operations at the Brooklyn Community Foundation where she directed overall operations and P&L management, creating systems that improved grant-making program delivery and ensured legal compliance for the Foundation with over $60 million in total assets under management.  She previously served as the Vice President of Strategy and Operations at Teach For America, leading priority initiatives across the organization’s 48 regions. Bringing a wealth of experiences with her, Russatta has worked in petroleum engineering, business development and marketing and has led pro bono teams for non-profit organizations ranging from theatre companies to charter schools.
 
Russatta earned her M.B.A. from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor and her B.S. in chemical engineering from Florida A&M University.  She lives in Brooklyn, NY where she sits on the Board of Directors for Brooklyn Community Services.
