Prior to joining GHC, Shammah worked as a Volunteer Relationship Coordinator for Voluntary Service Overseas in Malawi, providing first-class customer care service to volunteers, and ensuring that all administrative issues relating to volunteers are handled professionally and without unnecessary delay. His introduction to the NGO sector was through volunteering as a Team Leader in the International Citizen Service (ICS) program with Progressio. He also worked as an Assistant ICS Logistics Officer for Progressio, supporting the Malawi team with logistical arrangements, procurement, engaging with host families, volunteer recruitment and selection, and training. Shammah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a concentration in Science from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College, where he was the Publicity Secretary of the Chemistry Society.

Fun Fact: Shammah is an avid fan of football and finished number 3 in Malawi in the Fantasy Premier League 2021/2022 season. Winning 1 million Kwacha in a local league is one of the most exciting moments of his life.
