Title: Program Development Fellow
My country Rwanda and its people, fell flat on the ground, stood-up on their feet and aimed for the stars and I want to play my part.

Elly Kabalisa was raised in Rwanda but was born in Uganda. Since 2011, he has been actively involved with the Rwanda Association for Family Welfare (ARBEF), first as a volunteer and most recently as a project coordinator and member of the Board of Directors. While attending the National University of Rwanda, where he earned a law degree with honors, he joined the IPPF’s youth branch, the Youth Action Movement (YAM), and was eventually elected as the national Chairperson. The Youth Action Movement is a group committed to empowering youth to be equal partners in programmatic decision making and resource allocation. In his role as national chairperson, Elly was actively involved in developing and implementing projects with the goal of improving access to sexual and reproductive health and rights services in Rwanda. In his free time, he loves reading, spending time with friends, and meeting new people.
