Abiola Abu-Bakr was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but considers Nigeria home. She believes that everyone should be equipped with the knowledge and resources to live a healthy life. Abiola helped develop a doula training program for African American men and fathers in Minnesota. She has worked alongside nursing, medical research, and social service organizations to provide free health screenings to uninsured and underserved communities in her home state. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and canoeing.
