Author: Alina Kostreba

Alina received her Masters in Global Health from George Mason University and her Bachelors in History and Anthropology from the University of Virginia. Alina interned with the East African Center (EAC) in Kenya where she completed a project to revamp and streamline their medication inventory systems. With the EAC, she also formulated an in-country assessment of private and government clinic operations to identify service gaps and patient demographics. Most recently, Alina worked for Noblis, a strategy and technology firm, where she analyzed multi-million dollar source selections for the government and rolled out a health care program employing local services in one national, unified initiative. Alina enjoys working with youth in mentorship and education. In 2006 she spent one year teaching English to Chinese high school students and more recently volunteered with Girls on the Run to promote physical and mental health in elementary school girls.
