Currently, Amira Iwuala serves at the Alliance to End Hunger as the U.S. Policy Associate. She works with the Advocacy Committee to develop and implement long-term approaches to food and nutrition security in the United States by engaging the Alliance’s diverse membership and amplifying their policy priorities. Previously, she was a Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellow at the Center for Law and Social Policy where she researched and documented lessons learned for engaging people with lived and living experience of poverty. Amira received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from Northeastern University and a Master of Public Health degree in Urban Health.
