Author: Belia Longwe

Belia Longwe hails from Lusaka, Zambia. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in development studies attained from the University of Zambia. Before joining GHC, Belia worked as the assistant programs coordinator for Restless Development Zambia and was a part of their proposal development team. Her roles included, managing and mentoring interns and volunteer peer educators that were on the ground implementing project activities. Belia was behind Restless Development’s Girls Like Us, a project focused on reducing the vulnerability of girls and sexual reproductive health risks such as engaging in transactional sex by empowering girls with skills to contribute to household income. In her free time Belia can be found singing, reading, or watching a series.
