Health equity, to me, means ensuring that every individual has an equal opportunity to attain and maintain good health, regardless of their social or economic circumstances.
Celine Hirwa comes from the Rusizi District in Rwanda where she has used technology and data-driven research to engage in advocacy to prioritize the well-being of communities. Prior to joining GHC, Celine served as a data analyst at Rwacof, a data science intern at Rwanda Biomedical Center, and an Informatics Professional at IntraHealth International/USAID Ingobyi where she developed an advanced skill set for extracting and interpreting data for the broader public. Celine enjoys the occasional movie and you may find her stuck in a book when she isn’t too busy.
