Confidence Banda hails from Nkhotakota, Malawi. He believes that one of the biggest challenges for health systems is the lack of diagnostic capacity. Prior to joining GHC, Confidence became President of the Malawi Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists. Under the Malawi HIV Implementation Research Scientist Training Program, he evaluated the three-test HIV algorithm and the ScanForm technology in a qualitative assessment. Confidence has received a Zikomo Annual Presidential Award for Excellence in Health Services. For fun, he enjoys soccer and event planning and management.
