Elizabeth is from the Mzimba district in Malawi. She performed her undergraduate studies at the University of Malawi, Chancellor College, where she earned a Bachelor's of Science in Demography and Statistics. During her undergraduate study, she worked as a data entry intern for the Invest in Knowledge Initiative. She has also worked as a gender program officer at the Ministry of Gender, Child Welfare and Community Development under their internship program. Prior to joining GHC, she worked as a secondary school teacher under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Being a Global Health Corps fellow is the start of a health-related career path for Elizabeth. She has plans to pursue a Master's in Public Health, focusing on women's reproductive health. Elizabeth likes traveling and watching movies with her husband and son.
