Elizabeth Mosley grew up on Isle of Hope in Savannah, Georgia. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she studied Biology, Women's Studies, and Classical Humanities. While in college, Liz worked as a breast cancer research assistant and volunteered at the Carolina Women's Center as the Chair of Women's Health. During the summer before her senior year, Liz traveled to Greece, where she studied archaeology and ancient Greek civilizations. She continued at UNC for her Master's of Public Health degree in Health Behavior and Health Education. During her graduate program, Liz focused on sexual and relationship violence prevention, maternal health, and gender studies. She now works as a behavioral and social scientist on family planning, HIV prevention, and gender integration projects at FHI, an international health and development organization in Durham, NC. She enjoys volunteering as a doula, which allows her to advocate for and support women during labor and childbirth.
