Esther Nakyaze hails from Mukono, Uganda. She is passionate about health equity and is committed to using available resources and community involvement to improve access to health services. Prior to joining GHC, Esther was a nutrition and immunization mentor for the WHO, where she supported districts in the Karamoja Region in addressing immunization inequities and using locally available resources to ensure that immunization coverage improves. She was also a team leader for the data improvement team AFENET, which worked in all districts in the Uganda to ensure that the quality of health data improves. In her free time, Esther enjoys reading historical novels, going on adventures, and traveling. She has a Master of Public Health from Makerere University.
