Author: Hiba Iqteit

Hiba is from Amman, Jordan. She moved to the U.S. to pursue her undergraduate studies in Biology and Chemistry at SUNY Potsdam. She then attained her Master's in Public Health with a concentration in Global Health Communication at George Washington University. She is a public health professional with four years of experience working in global health program development. Hiba has experience providing the full array of program development functions including institutional positioning, pre-proposal and proposal preparation, and proposal-to-program transitions. She has worked at several nonprofit global health organizations, including Management Sciences for Health, Population Services International, Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs, and PATH. She also dedicated her time to volunteering at the International Rescue Committee where she helped with resettlement of Iraqi refugees in the Washington, D.C., area and facilitated various public health seminars in her native Arabic. During her spare time, Hiba enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and learning about new cultures.
