John Wilson Niyigena comes to Global Health Corps from IRST (National Institute of Scientific and technological research) in Rwanda. At IRST he worked on a biodiesel project as a senior research technician. Prior to IRST John Wilson graduated with upper second honors degree from Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Chemistry. While at KIST, John Wilson worked at the National Association of Tutsi Genocide Student Survivors as one of the embers of the executive committee of the association for 2 years while also working at FARG (Funds d’assistance aux reshapes du Genocide contre les Tutsi) as a supervisor of different income generation projects supported by FARG, John Wilson is a committed Christian and he strives to obtain justice, harmony and quality global health care. John Wilson speaks 4 languages: Kinyarwanda, French, Swahili, and English. During his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball, watching movies, and meeting new friends.
