Jolie Glaser is interested in using natural resource management to alleviate poverty, and ill health in rural Alaska and abroad. While studying for her B.S. in Earth Systems at Stanford, Jolie researched ways to make the rehabilitation of Alaska’s king crab fishery economically feasible. She also worked to promote mental health by counseling, teaching and living at the Bridge Peer Counseling Center. She took a year off of her studies to manage social service programs for FORGE in two Congolese refugee camps in Zambia. When at home in Moose Pass, Alaska, Jolie enjoys playing outside with her family and helping coach the high school cross-country running team.
