Leah Hazard comes to Global Health Corps from Mercy Corps, a nonprofit humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization. At Mercy Corps Leah undertook a variety of roles, most recently as an online marketing and communications strategist, shaping the organization’s social media presence. Prior to Mercy Corps, Leah graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Lewis and Clark College where she studied International Affairs and Economics. As an undergraduate she spent a semester in Botswana, which included both an internship at a local health clinic and a brief stint working at a women’s pottery cooperative. Other past travels include a summer studying Spanish in Ecuador and a more recent trip to Mercy Corps’ programs in northern India. When not busy expanding her French vocabulary, Leah enjoys outdoor adventures in the Pacific Northwest.
