Leah Kaufman is a compassionate and fierce advocate for children's health equity from California, USA. She served as a policy intern for former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords's gun violence prevention PAC. Leah has also been twice selected as a keynote speaker at annual fundraising events for the California National Kidney Foundation (NKF), and in 2014, she was selected as the NKF's Volunteer of the Year. During her collegiate years, Leah worked as a teaching assistant in the Department of Public Health at UC Berkeley. She is an avid reader and singer, and in her free time, she enjoys swimming and eating desserts with family and friends. She received a Bachelor of Arts from UC Berkeley.
