Lena Derisavifard was born and raised in Arlington, Texas. She attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas where she studied math and engineering. In college, Lena worked for the Women and Gender Studies Department, which sparked her interest in advocating for social change. Prior to joining GHC, she worked at Goldman Sachs where she focused on data analytics and operations. While at Goldman Sachs, Lena was also on the committee for the LGBT network and was an active member of the Women’s Network. She has lived in Salt Lake City, Utah for the past three years and spends her free time volunteering for the Utah AIDS Foundation administering free HIV/AIDS tests. When not hiking, camping or skiing, Lena can be found at her favorite bakery drinking lots of coffee.
