"I want to explore ways to incorporate a better standard of health within new and existing architectural environments."
Michelle grew up near Chicago, Illinois. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she majored in Architecture. Michelle recently received her Master's at the University of Virginia in Architectural History. Her Master's thesis analyzed urban regeneration projects in the historic city center of Istanbul, Turkey. It was through this project that she was exposed to the health concerns of living in older neighborhoods that do not have access to modern utilities, along with the impact of living in close proximity to post-industrial sites. Michelle is excited to be a part of GHC, and looks forward to learning more about designing environments for healthy living.
