Lusaka native Mubanga Mulenga is making strides as the Research Coordination Officer at Zambia’s National Health Research Authority (NHRA). Mubanga excels in stakeholder engagement, collaborating with researchers, policymakers, and communities to ensure that health research in Zambia is both ethical and impactful. She manages and analyzes the RHInnO Ethics database, linking research submissions to the NHRA and ensuring alignment with national priorities. Additionally, Mubanga is a passionate advocate for ethical health research and has led numerous capacity-building initiatives to improve research quality across the country. Her management of the 10th Annual Zambia Health Research Conference in 2022, which brought together researchers, policymakers, and healthcare professionals, stands as a key accomplishment in her career. Mubanga's dedication to research dissemination ensures that vital findings reach the hands of those who need them, promoting evidence-based decision-making. Mubanga looks forward to the GHC fellowship as an opportunity to enhance her strategic communication and stakeholder engagement skills. She is eager to continue advocating for impactful health research and build stronger partnerships to support Zambia’s health research landscape.
