Author: Lulu Chizuni

Nellisiwe Chizuni is from Lusaka, Zambia. She attended the University of Zambia where she pursued a degree in microbiology. In her last year of college, Nellisiwe and other microbiology students formed the first ever Microbiology Association at the University of Zambia. After graduating, she went on to work for Konkola Copper Mines as a process associate and later as a human resource officer for training and development. Before leaving the company to pursue a Master of Public Health, she was assigned the role of human resource project coordinator. While completing her master’s thesis research, Nellisiwe became a member of the Zambian-Canadian research team and has participated in a number of research studies on human resources for health in Africa. She enjoys singing and has been a member of her current singing group for ten years now.
