Author: Rayden Llano

Rayden Llano is from Miami, Florida. He completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University, majoring in Human Biology with an emphasis on health policy. While at Stanford, he interned at the Office of the Surgeon General where he helped implement national policy legislation to assist vulnerable populations in accessing essential health services during major disasters. He also worked on health policy issues internationally in France and Spain through internships funded by Stanford and the National Institutes of Health. Since graduating last year, Rayden has been living in Tokyo, Japan, as a Henry Luce Scholar working at the Department of Global Health Policy at the University of Tokyo. During his tenure as a Luce Scholar, he also spent 3 months in the Philippines at the WHO Regional Office for the Western pacific working within the Stop Tuberculosis Unit.
