Rosalia Dambe grew up in Lilongwe, Malawi. She obtained a Master of Science in epidemiology from the University of Zambia, School of Medicine in Lusaka after studying nursing and midwifery at the University of Malawi, Kamuzu College of Nursing in Lilongwe. After graduating from the University of Zambia, she worked at the Department of Public Health as a teaching assistant and graduate peer mentor under the Epidemiology and Biostatistics Unit. Previously, Rosalia worked for the Ministry of Health where she was placed at Thyolo District Hospital as a nursing officer and departmental nurse in charge. She is involved in the church youth ministry where she enjoys singing in the choir and participating in charity volunteer activities.
