Ruvimbo Mushavi was born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe. She recently graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a Bachelor of Arts in international relations with a minor in French. After her sophomore year of college, Ruvimbo interned at Southern AIDS Dissemination Service, a southern African non-profit organization whose aim is to educate communities, especially youth, about their sexual and reproductive health rights. The following summer, she interned at UNICEF as a communications intern. There, she connected her two internship experiences and realized the importance of collaboration between non-profit organizations and NGOs to reach target populations and provide them with necessary information and resources concerning their health. Besides her passion for development, Ruvimbo enjoys playing field hockey and reading for leisure.
