Scott Weathers is from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. While in college, Scott worked at the Center for Global Development, co-authoring an article on Health Systems Strengthening at the Global Fund. He also examined gender and geographic disparities in academic publishing during a research project at American University. In his final semester of college, Scott helped implement deworming and education scholarship programs in Nairobi, Kenya through the program Carolina for Kenya. Before joining GHC, he embarked on a backpacking trip through Tanzania, Ethiopia, Turkey, Israel, India and Thailand. He completed his undergraduate studies in Public Health at American University in Washington DC.
