Tyler Best is from La Crosse, Wisconsin. Tyler studied biology and music at Luther College, and then received a Master’s degree in social work and public health from the University of Minnesota. As a graduate student, Tyler interned with World Relief as a case manager for newly arrived refugees and in Cameroon where he helped create and implement a survey to assess local HIV beliefs and condom usage. In summer 2015, Tyler worked with DAPP Namibia to evaluate their door-to-door HIV testing program. Throughout the course of his studies, Tyler has been heavily involved in political advocacy, canvassing, and getting out the vote for several political campaigns. Tyler enjoys reading, running, and downhill skiing.
