Mwakamui Malambo

Federation Manager

Lusaka Child Development Agency

Based in Lusaka, Zambia, Mwakamui Malambo serves as Federation Manager at the Lusaka Child Development Agency. Her work is grounded in community collaboration—listening, co-creating solutions, and ensuring that interventions in health, youth livelihoods, education, and child protection reflect the priorities and realities of the people she serves.

Mwakamui recently earned a Project Management for Development Professionals (Project DPro) certification through Humentum, an achievement that strengthened her ability to design, implement, and evaluate projects that deliver sustainable impact. She views this milestone as a key step toward maximizing community outcomes and using resources more effectively in service of equity.

At LCDA, Mwakamui leads the Home Grown School Feeding Program in partnership with ChildFund and the World Food Programme. The project integrates nutrition, financial inclusion, and climate-resilient farming innovations to improve child health and learning outcomes. She is also advancing a birth registration campaign with Zambia’s Department of National Registration to strengthen data systems critical to health planning and equitable service delivery.

Committed to advancing health equity by strengthening community health systems, Mwakamui believes that “healthier communities are the foundation for sustainable global health.” She finds inspiration in John Quincy Adams’ words: “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.”
