Author: Alexis Hatungimana

Alexis Hatungimana is from Musongati, Rutana, Burundi. He completed his undergraduate studies at University of Burundi, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, in the department of English Language and Literature. While at the University, he was appointed as Head of the Students Association for students from Musongati. Since 2004, he has been volunteering as a Sensitizer and a counselor for the Society for Women against AIDS, an organization fighting for sexual and reproductive health in Burundi. During his studies, he traveled to Uganda for a one-month training at Makerere University. He also worked with the MAG International as a Field Assistant Officer. Since completing his studies, Alexis has worked at Kivoga as an English teacher for 2 years. In his spare time, Alexis enjoys being an active member of international volunteer organizations that engage in important and empowering programs for poor communities.
