Alumni participate in virtual and in-person trainings to build critical leadership and management skills for greater impact as they rise in their careers.

Alumni hone their capacity to serve on Boards of Directors in global health, where their perspectives are often missing. They learn and hone board governance practices for effective management.

Alumni access seed funding, advice, peer-group coaching, and support to channel their entrepreneurial curiosity into piloting initiatives to improve community health outcomes.

Alumni participate in targeted, short-term mentorship opportunities with experts in the field to address a specific timely challenge or grow in a desired professional area. They also engage in interactive webinars to deepen their professional growth throughout their careers.

Amplifying Voices

GHC trains, pitches, and supports alumni to raise their voices for social change. They speak on panels, present at major conferences, and publish in online and print outlets – including our AMPLIFY publication on Medium.

Outlets & Stages: Devex, NPR, Wired Next Gen, Think Global Health, Skoll World Forum, International Conference on Family Planning, Aspen Ideas: Health, and the Africa Health Agenda International Conference.

Alumni participate in GHC's virtual event series alongside other leaders in global health to foster dialogue and learning on critical global health and social justice issues.

Alumni play a key role in every step of the months-long processes of recruiting and selecting incoming fellows each year, from writing op-eds to raise awareness for applications to interviewing semi-finalists.

Community Mentorship

Alumni support and mentor current fellows during their fellowship and as they transition into the alumni program. Throughout the 18-month engagement alumni receive resources and support to develop their mentorship and coaching skills.

Alumni gather in peer-coaching groups led by alumni facilitators trained in peer-coaching techniques by public health career coaches.
