Chisomo Chikuni was born and raised in Zomba, Malawi. Chisomo is a passionate researcher, eager to find solutions for social problems to improve the living standards of ordinary people. Prior to joining GHC, Chisomo worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer within the humanitarian sector of Save the Children. She worked on several projects responding to the 2016-2018 food insecurity crisis in Malawi. During college she was a member of Stimulus, a group of student volunteers, which was involved in providing extra-curricular activities to underprivileged children in Zomba. She received her bachelor’s degree in social sciences from the University of Malawi. Chisomo is an avid sports fan and plays basketball, football and table tennis. She also enjoys hiking and travelling. She is eager to be part of the growing movement focusing on health equity ensuring people have access to quality health services and lives are not needlessly being lost.
