Constancia is from Harare, Zimbabwe and graduated as a Koenig Scholar from Amherst College, majoring in neuroscience in 2012. She then worked at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Early Drug Development Center and volunteered with Global Oncology to improve cancer care capacity in Malawi. Consta moved to South Africa and recently completed her Master of Public Health in health systems and policy at the University of Cape Town as a MasterCard Foundation Scholar. During her MPH, she helped to drive the implementation of an HIV self-testing study with Medecins Sans Frontieres in Khayelitsha and worked as a research assistant for the International epidemiologic Databases to Evaluate AIDS-Southern Africa (IeDEA-SA). She currently works to evaluate Zimbabwe’s National Quality Improvement Program for HIV Care and Treatment Services. For Consta, reading books in a corner with coffee is nirvana.
