Ebuwa Evbuoma hails from Lagos, Nigeria. She is a passionate story-teller who believes that communication, user experience, data, and design play an understated role in addressing long-standing problems in healthcare and social sectors. Ebuwa is most proud of her growth in The Writers' Club, a journalism group from medical school, in which she went from a floor member to its first female Editor-in-Chief. Prior to joining GHC, she volunteered with the National Youth Service Corps as the only person with a non-media background in the editorial team. Ebuwa holds a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Lagos. She rounded off the Service with a commendation from the State Coordinator. In her free time, Ebuwa enjoys reading and listening to music across diverse genres, writing personal essays and op-eds, and spending time with people and places.
