Community service is important to me because it provides me with eye-opening experiences while benefitting many people. Knowing that a great impact can be made on others lives, through simple actions, makes the work worthwhile.

Jean Luc grew up in Kigali, Rwanda. He completed his MD in Medicine and Surgery from the National University of Rwanda and prior to joining GHC, worked as a General Practitioner at Kigeme Hospital. In 2011-2012, Jean Luc served as the Central Africa Regional Focal Point for the Global Youth Coalition on AIDS and also collaborated with the Red-Nike and King Baudouin Foundation to start the Girls Football Against AIDS Project. Previously, Jean Luc conducted a one-month Community Medicine and Public Health Program at the Child Family Health International in India and also started a mobile voluntary counseling and testing project in rural Rwanda.
