Meley Woldeghebriel grew up in Missouri, USA and has also lived in North Carolina, USA and Washington DC, USA. She is a firm believer in using data for decision making and supporting the needs of local change agents in order to achieve sustainable health system improvements. Prior to joining GHC, Meley worked at Results For Development, supporting USAID’s Maternal Child Survival Program in areas of leadership and management, costing, and innovative approaches to human capacity development. Additionally, she worked with Ebonyi State Ministry of Health to develop a commodity financing strategy to improve availability of essential medicines across 171 primacy care facilities in Ebonyi State, Nigeria. Meley’s hobbies include playing soccer and learning new languages.
