Sarah Stevens is from California, Maryland. She studied mathematics, economics, and music at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, with a semester abroad at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji. After working for the Department of Defense as a cost analyst, she moved to Guyana to teach math and science. Back in the US, Sarah coordinated the Office of Adolescent Health’s Teen Pregnancy Prevention Grantee Conference. She then obtained a Master of Public Health degree in global health from Boston University, during which she started peer health education clubs in Western Kenya. Since graduating, she has worked as a teaching assistant at Boston University and has volunteered with the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, fighting for reproductive justice in New Hampshire.
