I believe that community fosters growth, presents challenges and brings together ideas to overcome those challenges.

Steve grew up in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Marquette University with a bachelor's degree in Economics before moving to South Korea to teach English for what he thought would be a year. But, after falling in love with Korea, Steve began an intensive study of the Korean language and took a job working for Samsung Heavy Industries, the world's largest shipbuilder located in Seoul. He worked in the company’s Asian Supply Chain department, providing customer support in Singapore, and manufacturer support in Vietnam, Bangladesh, and China. Four years later, Steve left Korea and spent six months traveling in India and Nepal, volunteering for a youth organization in Delhi and walking the Annapurna circuit. Steve moved back to the United States to get a Master’s of Public Administration with a focus in International Development from the University of Oregon and prior to starting with GHC, Steve developed the supply chain system for Ninkasi, a startup brewery in Eugene, Oregon. In his spare time, Steve likes to play soccer, run and travel.
